What is MDO?

Molecularly Dissociated Oil (MDO) has special pharmacokinetic properties heretofore not realized with other oil-based formulations that have demonstrated enhanced bioavailability of CBDa. Primarily, this is a consequence of the fermentation process molecularly disassociating the added oil by lipases present in the bacteria, thereby generating a mixture of fatty acids, diglycerides and monoglycerides.

The Process

01. PRECISE FERMENTATION

Depending on the season, our formulas are fermented for 14–21 days in our custom-built bioreactors. This is where the bacteria break down the carbon molecule chains and lower the pH levels down from above 7 to around 4. When it reaches these pH levels, it’s achieved the proper state to put into our high-pressure evaporation chambers.

02. SURFACE EVAPORATION

From here, our fermented formula goes into our high-pressure evaporation chambers to remove certain contents of liquid generated by the fermentation process; this also exposes the molecular membrane, resulting in the outer layer of the molecules evaporating and allowing them to then dissociate; at this stage, we add an oxygen molecule.

03. Natural Fabrication

During the dissociation process our formulas’ molecular structures naturally nanosize, this is a result of removing the hardened outer membrane which causes the once larger molecular chained lipids to separate into their smaller and more bioavailable forms; at this stage, our Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLCs) are ready for oxygenating.

04. MOLECULAR OXYGENATION

Only once the molecular structure has dissociated can we initiate the final stage within our high-pressure evaporation chambers. From here, an oxygen molecule is infused to enhance the bioavailability and stability; after we achieve molecular oxygenation, the formula is ready to encapsulate active ingredients.

05. PROTECTED ENCAPSULATION

Our finished Molecularly Dissociated Oils (MDO) under the precise protocols will encapsulate most active ingredients. When heated up to a specific temperature, the added active ingredients are absorbed into the evaporated nanoparticles and once the formulation cools down, this completes the encapsulation and is ready for use.

This unique blend of lipids is combined with the active cannabinoids to produce micellar complexes that allow for enhanced transport of the cannabinoid payload through the lipophilic membranes.
